The WACOMP International Cluster Conference 2024 Exhibition.

   

The WACOMP (West Africa Competitiveness Programme) International Cluster Conference 2024 Exhibition took place on June 11, 2024, at the Labadi Beach Hotel in Accra, Ghana. This event was a pivotal component of the broader WACOMP Conference, which aimed to foster competitiveness and enhance value chains in West Africa.

The exhibition provided a platform for businesses, innovators, and stakeholders to showcase their products, services, and technologies, facilitating networking and collaboration among industry leaders and entrepreneurs.

The exhibition attracted over 40 exhibitors and about 150-200 attendees, including local and international delegates from various sectors such as agriculture, manufacturing, technology, academic institutions and services. Participants included business leaders, entrepreneurs, government officials, investors, and representatives from international organizations At the WACOMP International Cluster Conference 2024 Exhibition, a significant highlight was the launch of a comprehensive manual designed to train cassava producers on the use of equipment, addressing longstanding issues within the cassava cluster. The manual, dubbed the "Super Manual," provides detailed guidelines to enhance efficiency and productivity in cassava processing. The launch event was graced by prominent figures, including Mr. Kabone, the ECOWAS representative, Madame Rume from the African Union, and Honorable Dono Comerse, the Deputy Liberian Minister. Their presence underscored the regional importance of improving agricultural practices and supporting sustainable development in the cassava sector.
